Scan Anderson 4-2 / 4-5 Stove Glass - 290mm x 275mm

Arrived sooner than delivery estimate. As others have stated, excellent protective packaging. Perfect fit and replacement for the original glass.

The label size on glass package was correct but glass was wrong size.
I contacted SGR and they dealt with the problem immediately and have now fitted the new glass.
The after sales service was fantastic and many thanks to Jo at SGR for getting it sorted so quickly.....Highly recommended.

What they don't tell you with these wood burners is that unless you clean the front glass after every time you use it (use some of the leftover ash, a paper towel and some water -30 seconds) then pretty soon it become opaque and you can't see the flames inside the heated box (who needs a telly?)
That, and the glass cracked unexpectedly which lead me to watch all the videos on YouTube about "how to change the front glass on your woodburner"
Dunno if it's the people making them are the saddest people in the world, or is that me for watching them? Anyway ordered the replacement glass for my stove from the most obvious place on the internet StoveGlassReplacement and it arrived quickly and was well packaged, so I set to work using all the acquired knowledge from the YouTube tutorials and lo and behold it worked - well mainly it worked; the door glass holding bolts were threaded and the top two wouldn't come off so in true botch-it -and-scarper fashion I left them there and squeezed the new glass and string up into the old glass space and retightened the two bottom bolts to hold the glass in !
Obviously, in the middle of a heatwave I've not had chance to see if the door is airtight yet, the the glass is definitely cleaner until the next time I need to use the woodburner - should I even be using a woodburner in this climate change catastrophic era ? That's a matter for my conscience I guess, but at least I'm not shinning up gantries on the M25 and messing up the traffic or gluing myself to the road surface in a vague attempt to get on the news.
